Duties and Responsibilities: CACI has a contingent position for a Logistics Data Systems Specialist in our Norfolk, VA location. This individual: -- Provides logistics data analysis and research, manipulation of databases to correct and format data, transfer of data between multiple formats including dbf, txt, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel. -- Develops queries using SQL. Loading and extracting data to and from Oracle and Sybase databases. -- Develops logistics metric reports. -- Supports on-site and off-site logistics support of new construction, acquisition, and entire MSC fleet. -- Participates in the creation of procedures and communication material that document logistics practices. -- Provides Logistics Support in Identifying, analyzing, auditing, correcting and developing new construction and acquisition logistics data files for loading into CMLS. -- -- Responsible for comparing, contrasting, revising data, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of data contained within and transferred between databases and systems. Examples of relevant databases/systems are CMIS/CLIP, SHIPCLIP, MASP, MERLIN, and IHS Haystack. Reviewing, interpreting, and auditing acquisition documentation, MERLIN logistics files, specifications, technical manuals, vendor supplies data, vendor purchase orders, shipboard feedback, and other available technical data. -- Assists with on-site and off-site logistics support of ship delivery. -- Supports logistics efforts in developing new construction logistics load files. research or technical studies to support logistic functions. Supports on-site and off-site logistics support of new construction, acquisition, and entire MSC fleet. -- Provides regular reporting to management on logistics issues. -- Participates in the creation of procedures and communication material that document logistics practices. Required Qualifications: -- Bachelor‘s degree in business, technical, or engineering field. -- 3 years technical experience relevant to maritime logistics systems and data management. -- 2 years experience in maintaining Oracle or Sybase Relational Data Management Systems database (RDBMS) using ANSI SQL applications, or similar commercial software. --1 year experience developing enterprise logistics data analysis/studies. -- 1 year experience executing ship acquisition and fleet sustainment support services utilizing any of the following systems: MSC/Navy /Coast Guard/Commercial databases/systems such as CLIP/CMLS, ShipCLIP, WinMASP, NTCSS, CDMD-OA, SCLSIS, MERLIN, Inter-Active Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) or IHS Haystack. -- Current Secret Clearance. Desired Qualifications: -- Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience. -- Experience providing ship acquisition or fleet sustainment logistics support services to MSC, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, or commercial ship operating companies. -- Afloat supply financial and inventory management. -- Material identification and sourcing material from commercial and federal sources. -- Reviewing, interpreting, and auditing acquisition documentation, specifications, technical manuals, vendor supplies data, vendor purchase orders, shipboard feedback, and other available technical information. -- Conducting shipboard inventories, developing storeroom mock-ups, layout, and supporting material on-loads and off-loads. -- Auditing, updating, analyzing, and determining shipboard inventory management posture Company Description: CACI employs a diverse range of talent to create an environment that fuels innovation and fosters continuous improvement and success.
