Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the Operations and Maintenance Center (OMC) which is a 24/7/365 operation. It is the mission of the OMC to monitor and maintain servers, applications, and their associated services for all systems of the enterprise. Staff must be able to quickly identify and analyze network events as generated by the network monitoring tools. Where necessary, staff must be flexible, willing, and able to work rotating and/or non-standard work shifts, including evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.   Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshoots and resolves complex system hardware, software and communications problems; creates shell programs and utility scripts. Performs and/or oversees daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs. Initiate and manage troubleshooting bridges, prepares advisory reports for Government and other stakeholders. Creates user accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies; installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment. Confers with lower tiers regularly to identify recurring or systemic problems and performs root cause analysis. Analyzes existing systems and services and recommends new systems or modifications to existing systems. Provides technical guidance to less experienced systems administrators.   Required Qualifications: Must have experience with Microsoft servers in an enterprise environment Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or higher is a plus. 3+ years supporting Active Directory is a must   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and 7 to 9 years of related experience.      Company Description: CACI employs a diverse range of talent to create an environment that fuels innovation and fosters continuous improvement and success.
