Summary: BIT Systems is looking for a Systems Engineer to lead a new development effort at the Dulles, VA office (Headquarters). Candidates are expected to have excellent communication and oral skills, significant process experience, and work well in a small team environment. Candidates should be familiar with the Systems Engineering life-cycle and have previous integration experience. Candidates must be self-motivated individuals who can understand technical concepts, clearly communicate them to a varying range of audiences/understanding levels, collaborate on technical direction with development team and lead a team in execution of a plan. Duties and Responsibilities: Execute well-establish O&M process enabling quarterly deliveries of software baseline updates: - Coordination with site maintainers - DR allocation and tracking - Development and execution of test procedures - Development and execution of software delivery procedures Lead the development, testing and delivery of new capabilities: - Aid in development of Engineering Change Proposals - Define and decompose system requirements - Lead system design process - Monitor development progress, aiding in design refinement - Develop security accreditation document, system test plans and system delivery procedures - Execute system testing and perform requirements verification - Coordinate and perform system deliveries Required Qualifications: - Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent and 10-12 years of related experience - 10 + years of experience with full Systems Engineering life-cycle development (analysis, design, development, test, deployment, maintenance). - Experience performing functional requirements decomposition, traceability, and management - Experience preparing for and leading customer control gates such as Preliminary/Critical Design Reviews, System Requirement Reviews, Pre-Ship Review, and on-site in briefings - Technical writing skills to include: requirements documentation, concepts of operation, software release notes, user guides, and maintenance manuals - Experience in coordination and installation of systems to customer locations - Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies and guidance - Perform traditional System Engineering tasks (requirement creation/management, create and maintain technical documentation, lead technical discussions, etc.) - Ability to assist the development team with software integration activities - Able to work independently Desired Qualifications: - Experience with mission management/planning systems - Experience with Messaging and/or ESB Technologies - Experience with Oracle database products - Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems - Experience with Configuration Management and CM best practices - Experience with architecture development and documentation - Experience in virtualized operations and deployment - Experience with the ICD 503 accreditation process - Experience with AWS - Experience leading teams Company Description: CACI employs a diverse range of talent to create an environment that fuels innovation and fosters continuous improvement and success.
