Job Description

Job Description: Perform systems engineering activities including: requirements analysis, functional and design analysis to support the definition and engineering management of the JRDC program in collaboration with various MDA organizations and engineering disciplines to include software, network, database and project engineers, and configuration management.  Will identify and document system/subsystem functions, capabilities, behaviors, data flows, requirements, interfaces and designs in compliance with the JRDC Systems Engineering Management Plan to support the enhancement of engineering rigor across the contract and management of the technical baseline. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Required Qualifications: Must have an Associate‘s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or another relevant field. Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent and zero to two years of related experience. Must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and work well in a team environment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.            Desired Qualifications: Should have a familiarity in one or more of the following:  Software development/maintenance on Windows Server, SQL  Server,  Internet Information Service (IIS) administration, ASP.NET, C#, Visual Basic, LINQ, MVC, WCF, HTML, JavaScript, SYSML, UML, PTC Integrity Modeler. Must be able to quickly adapt to new situations, have a strong commitment to a team environment, and have a willingness to learn new technologies, and having met DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II requirements, e.g. Security + CE.
