We have operational personnel stationed around the world in support of our customers' missions.   Job Summary: This position is for an experienced software integrator and tester to work with a small team on a complex, java-based server back-end system.  This person will spend approximately 50% of their time as directly integrated into the development process and be able to test new/updated capabilities as well as defects.  A suite of java-based automated tests will need to be maintained and updated as new/updated capabilities are developed. This person must not only be comfortable working in a team environment, but also a self-starter and willing to learn new skills.    This person will spend the other 50% of their time being responsible for maintaining a deployed instance of this system that lives on the inter.NET within Amazon Web Services (AWS).  This system is used for internal, CACI business development and must always be available during daytime business hours and other, non-typical times as required.  This person will be expected to understand the internal workings of the system in order to provide proactive monitoring of system processes and resources.    When new baselines are available, this person will deploy the changes appropriately.  When problems do occur, this person will be able to debug and work with the development team to resolve. Responsibilities for this system also include occasional adding of new data feeds that flow into the system, which involve not only software integration skills, but also some software development/scripting skills to help provide the data flow into the system. Overall Responsibilities include: €¢ Test and provide overall quality assurance of complex, java-based server backend systems €¢ Create and maintain automated tests €¢ Maintain software build processes €¢ Build and deploy updated system baselines to AWS system €¢ Proactively monitor AWS system, including system availability, database integrity, and data ingest status €¢ Support CACI Business Development demos €¢ Work with the FADE OPS Engineering Support team to research and ingest new data into AWS system €¢ Proactively seek opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes €¢ Participate in Agile Software Development milestones   Required Skills/Experience: €¢ Basic Java Programming experience €¢ Experience writing automated tests €¢ Experience writing and using SQL and relational databases €¢ Familiarity with large Software Development Programs €¢ Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance €¢ Basic understanding of Windows and Linux environments €¢ Experience with source-control systems (ie, SVN, GIT, etc) €¢ Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5-7 years of relevant experience in software integration and/or test   Desired Skills/Experience: €¢ Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and OGC WMS/WFS €¢ Experience with requirements-based formal test €¢ Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies €¢ Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills €¢ Familiarity with automated build systems (ex: Jenkins) €¢ Experience with Postgresql Database €¢ Experience with Hadoop and other NOSQL database systems €¢ Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)   Additional BITS Information: BITS benefits are quiet unique. Basically, BITS benefits equate to 50% of salary on TOP of your base salary. The first part is a tax-qualified profit sharing retirement plan to which BITS annually contributes up to 25% of your base salary (not in excess of applicable IRS limits) to your retirement account under the plan.
