CACI is recruiting an experienced Program Manager to lead a large complex system and software engineering and development program for a major Department of Defense customer. The selected candidate will provide input to long and short range planning of projects, development of business solutions, process re-engineering, project scheduling, budgeting, reporting and implementation, with special emphasis on coaching and mentoring senior staff on the planning and execution of critical business initiatives. He/she will be highly skilled in customer and stakeholder relations; will have excellent knowledge of contract and subcontract management principles; and have a wide range of experience controlling and improving quality of service while reducing the lifecycle cost through operational efficiencies and business process improvement. He/she will be responsible for managing contract performance -“ including, personnel management, financial management, contract/subcontracts management, schedule management, performance management, and risk and quality management. This is an exciting opportunity supporting a 10-year period of performance ACAT 1 program management. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Provide program and portfolio management support; prepare progress reports and update steering committee/executive management; anticipate issues and ensure timely resolution. Coach and mentor senior and mid-level staff on the development of projects plans, definition of deliverables and milestones, analysis of interdependencies, identification of contingencies, analysis and mitigation of risk, escalate potential issues, analysis and reporting of project status. Build and maintain positive working relationships with client executives, our partners and all levels of staff. Will serve as a resource for technical or business expertise and advice on strategic priorities and projects. Develop qualitative and quantitative analysis; identify and analyze reporting requirements related to key strategic initiatives; define/develop data sources and prepare related reports. Diagnose problems accurately and timely; evaluate and develop alternative courses of action; recommend and/or implement creative and effective solutions; document results. Ensure projects are executed in accordance with CACI and Client policies and procedures, on time and within budget. Plan and facilitate project meetings; ensure comprehensive minutes, agendas and schedules are prepared and distributed timely Develop program organization structure that ensures alignment of all program components towards collaborative execution and clearly defines roles and responsibilities of the program team. Develop overall program roadmap to guide planning at the task order level Ensure that the program and task order plans are always kept up to date. Review and approve the detailed task order level plans. Define Quality gates or stage gates with acceptance criteria for all Program/Project phases/key deliverables Manage program cost, schedule, performance, and quality and report metrics as defined by customer specified SLA‘s. Implement an Earned Value Management system Facilitate gathering of project/program requirements and monitor closely critical milestones and deliverables. Ensure preparation for various status and progress reports with metrics for consumption of various stakeholders. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor‘s degree from an accredited college or university. An educational equivalency four (4) years of experience in a comparable (e.g., performing the same or similar function) assignment on an enterprise business system may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. An educational equivalency is in addition to years of experience. Specialized experience with ten (10) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) project management. Certified PMI PMP®, PgMP® U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance required. Program will be headquartered in the Northern Virginia/National Capital Region.
