Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Establishes and maintains configuration and data management policies and procedures to be utilized by departmental personnel and other participating functions to ensure a standard and cost effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements. Organizes and implements the process of evaluating performance against established policies and procedures to ensure hardware and documentation integrity is being maintained at the least cost to the company and programs. Develops departmental operating budgets, productivity goals, and staffing levels. Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, discipline and performance evaluation of assigned employees.   RESPONSIBILTIES: Responsible for identification, control; status accounting; verification of all requirements baseline; control, setting up and maintaining data library and documentation versions. Establishes quality assurance process audits on configuration and data management policies and procedures. Responsible for analysis of proposed product changes to determine effect on overall system and to evaluate performance against policies and procedures to ensure hardware and documentation integrity is maintained. Develops and monitors departmental operating budget. Develops and implements objectives/goals for department. Conducts performance reviews and coaches staff development. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 10 to 12 years of related experience are typically required. Three to five years of supervisory/management experience required.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
