Job Description

Our team is looking for an experienced Systems/Development Engineer to be key member of a dynamic, multi-disciplined team focused on developing Advanced Analytic capabilities for DoD customer in a Cloud environment. Solutions will leverage Java, Scala and a variety of commercial, government, and open source software and frameworks such as, Apache Thrift, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, REDIS and S3 to address -œbig data- processing and analytics. If you‘re the type that thrives in an energetic, fast-paced environment and have a can-do attitude, then this position is for you.   Duties and Responsibilities: - Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications - Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities - Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. - Provide technical leadership for integrating requirements, design, and technology - Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations - Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment and preparing system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans - Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts - Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent and 10 to 12 years of related experience.   Required Qualifications: - Must have Information Assurance Training (IAT) Level II or higher (Devops Engineer) - Six years relevant experience as a systems engineer in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity - Three years of experience with scripting languages, system and network monitoring tools, devops system management. - In-depth familiarity with multiple cloud providers. Desired Qualifications: - Experience developing sections of systems engineering documentation such as system engineering plans, initial capabilities documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents - Experience developing system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components compatible with defined system architectures - Experience coordinating the resolution of action items from configuration control board CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination - Experience installing/configuring, operating, and maintaining development, test, integration, and production environments within AWS andC2s clouds. - Experience in conducting technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.  - Experience setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, turning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. - High degree of analytical and critical thinking skills. - Strong interpersonal and communications skills conducive to team building. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
