SUMMARY: We are looking for a Systems Engineer to work in our Sterling, VA office. The position requires a strong background in Systems Engineering. The candidate will be leading the creation of requirements, architectures, CONOPs, test plans and procedures for a variety platforms and missions. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and track requirements for multiple projects. - Develop operational CONOPs and document the results - Prepare and execute test plans and procedures. - Work with the development team to perform system testing throughout the lifecycle of the project. - Participate in customer demonstrations of prototype hardware - Develop design review documentation. - Prepare monthly status reports for the customers. - Lead Squad-X Systems Engineering coordination efforts with the various sub-contractors EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent and two to four years of related experience. Required: - Understanding and implementation of System Engineering processes - Exposure to all phases of product development (concept, design, implementation, test, and production) - Working familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Visio Desired: - Experience with Linux - Programming skills in C, C++, and Python - Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, etc.) - Basic understanding of software defined radio systems PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
