Job Description

This is an new Business Development opportunity in San Antonio TX in support of the  Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) which anticipates substantial additional personnel requirements across a number of labor categories and levels beginning in early calendar year 2017, contingent on receiving awards for both the BAT (Bomber Armament Tester) and the ATSSI (Automatic Test System Sustainment Initiative).   RESPONSIBILTIES: - Provide Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) requests, movements, returns, failures, incidents and periodic GFE inventory report  - Research suitable substitute parts and processes  - Identify shop aids and tooling required to support manufacturing processes  - Develop or contribute to logistics data deliverables related to product support  - Provide elements of technical data package required for field operation of equipment  - Responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, including support of parts shortages and drawing error resolution  - Oversee the procurement, receipt and storage of a wide range of electrical and mechanical parts and materials  - Review engineering drawings for producibility issues  - Oversee and other Direct efforts of less-experienced logistics professionals REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - Experience managing logistics tasks associate with DoD or Federal development contracts  - Familiar with electronic components sufficient to support inventory and kitting processes - Oversight of Government material management systems. Familiar with the appropriate methods for both handling and dispositioning Government property, materials and information  - Inventory control and various logistics functions DESIRED EXPERIENCE: - Background in logistics including GFE material management and GFE inventory control - Experience with managing an approved counterfeit parts program  - Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required. ATSHP
