This is an new Business Development opportunity in San Antonio TX in support of the Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) which anticipates substantial additional personnel requirements across a number of labor categories and levels beginning in early calendar year 2017, contingent on receiving awards for both the BAT (Bomber Armament Tester) and the ATSSI (Automatic Test System Sustainment Initiative). RESPONSIBILTIES: - Designs and seeks agreement on the scope of the entire Configuration Management processes, including identifying and documenting the items to be controlled and the information to be captured and recorded - Ensures the proper baseline identification of configuration items, perform periodic audits, and provide verification of version release configuration items - Develops and maintains CM process standards, plans, and procedures - Ensure changes to the process methods and processes are properly approved, communicated and managed throughout the CM process - Maintains status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configurations of products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle - Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration - Attends meetings with management and other functional groups to obtain and authorizes release of drawings, and software configuration changes specified as needed - Assists the CM Specialist, Lead in the creation and management of each project specific Configuration Management Plan - May provide guidance to less experienced CM Specialists REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - Prior DoD Configuration Control experience - Strong background and experience in CM tools - Experience managing both software and hardware configurations - Experience with DoD and industry standards for configuration management - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Excellent communication skills, team player DESIRED EXPERIENCE: - Configuration management of automated test system (ATE) - Quick learner, creative, resourceful, and able to work independently - Experience with Microsoft SharePoint application - Ability to compile, build, and facilitate software releases using Install Shield for delivery to customer - Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a bachelor‘s degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
