Job Description

This is an new Business Development opportunity in San Antonio TX in support of the  Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) which anticipates substantial additional personnel requirements across a number of labor categories and levels beginning in early calendar year 2017, contingent on receiving awards for both the BAT (Bomber Armament Tester) and the ATSSI (Automatic Test System Sustainment Initiative).   RESPONSIBILTIES:   - Read and understand contractual and derived requirements and follow MIL-STDs and DIDs - Establish test requirements and associated methods including the determination of the appropriate test equipment to use - Generate required test plans, detailed procedures, and reports - Assist Sr. Test Engineer to ensure test procedures fully and efficiently verify contractual requirements and devices under test meet quality and workmanship standards - Assist in presenting test plans and status, both internally and at formal contractual reviews - Track progress and generate test related metrics - Perform integration level testing consistent with the integration plan/approach - Interface with other engineering and manufacturing personnel and customers to aid in planning and execution of test-related efforts - Communicate test observations and circumstances to the Sr. Test Engineer to aid in the resolution of said observations - Attend Test Readiness Reviews (as required) - Help to evaluate when a contractual requirement is testable, or must be covered by some other method, such as analysis or certification REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - Good written and verbal communication skills - Interfaces with customers, vendors and all company departments - Experience must be directly related to the planning and performance of system level testing - Experience must include performing test activities with limited direct supervision - Experience with ANSI-C or equivalent - Experience with requirements traceability tools (DOORs, Jama, other) - DOD and simulation-related systems test experience preferred  - AS9100, SEI CMMI, and/or Lean/Agile development knowledge and experience preferred  - Under limited supervision able to prioritize, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines  - Ability to keep detailed records of work in a database or spreadsheet - Generates reports and creates documents   DESIRED EXPERIENCE: - Proficiency using National Instruments‘ TestStand - Understanding of Embedded Systems - Testing of Air Force LRUs/Systems - Understanding of Air Force operations - Support testing to MIL-PRF-28800, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461standards - Experience with cPCI, VME, VPX, com Express, PXI or equivalent technologies - Basis Anti-tamper and/or cyber test experience - Assist in developing automated regression test programs EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required. ATSHP
