We have operational personnel stationed around the world in support of our customers' missions.   POSITION SUMMARY: BIT Systems is looking for DSP Electrical Engineers for Navy / Airborne Tactical Systems with a background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and implementing signal processing algorithms.    RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will design, debug, and test signal processing algorithms running on a variety of platforms supporting intelligence, defense, and other government missions.  Work with a product development team to develop concepts, identify creative solutions to customer requirements and assess feasibility of these solutions.  Support the design, build, and delivery of QRC signal processing systems EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Typically requires bachelor‘s degree and 2 to 4 years of related experience.   Required: - Experience programming in a Linux environment - Must have excellent programming skills in C/C++ and python. - Experience with designing signal processing algorithms, modulators/demodulators, and channel equalizers. - Thorough understanding of software defined radio systems including receiver architectures, software channelization, modulation/demodulation techniques, spectral analysis, error correcting codes - Involvement in the full spectrum of product development (concept, design, implementation, test, production - Working familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, etc.) - Development of link budgets, range estimates, and system sensitivity assessments   Desired: - Experience with X-Midas - A Bachelor‘s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Engineer - Preferably 2-4 years of experience in digital signal processing and software development.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required. Occasional travel (1-2 weeks) to assist in conducting hands-on equipment testing and field evaluation
