POSITION SUMMARY The tasking includes the support of the design, implementation, integration, testing and deployment of information processing systems. Systems include the compute, storage, networks and supporting software applications and operating systems required to support both company development infrastructure and/or project requirements. Responsibilities often include both on-site and remote support for deployments, troubleshooting and testing that leverage IT resources. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the researching, designing, and development of critical and complex computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, and scientific applications. - Analyzes critical IS requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. High-level responsibilities include - Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. - Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. - Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, etc. - Provides support for problem identification, diagnosis and resolution. - Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers. - Provides support for hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. - Performs design and integration of high performance information systems - Performs hardening and continuous security monitoring - Implements enterprise architecture and virtualization/cloud technologies - Performs COTS/GOTS application and infrastructure integration and maintenance - Implements high-availability data storage and retrieval systems EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent and 5 to 7 years of related experience. TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: The System Administrator will be expected to work within the core set and many of the support technologies listed below. The candidate will be required to demonstrate their level of competence during the interview process by answering technical questions and discussing their development role in all or a subset of the various technologies and processes where they have knowledge and experience.
