Job Description

This is an  immediate fully funded opening in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) for Software Engineer / Developer  with Java/J2EE development experience. As a Software Engineer/Developer you will employ extensive professional expertise as a generalist or specialist in the development of solutions to complex problems. You will analyze and/or evaluate existing or proposed systems and develop software in support of customer requirements. You will work with the other software development team members in an Agile development environment on tasks utilizing specific specialty skills.  You will also review requirements and user stories, design, document, test, and modify current and new software development applications. Clearance Required: This position requires a minimum of a US Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI. Experience:       2+ years Software Engineering/Developer experience     Java/J2EE     Linux (RHEL, CentOS)   Education Requirements:       B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical discipline   Desired:       SQL, XML, JSON, REST, JavaScript Frameworks (i.e. AngularJS, ExtJS), JMS, Python, JIRA, Jenkins     Hadoop, Mongo, and Big Data     MapReduce, Accumolo/HBase, Storm, Kafka, Solr or equivalent     Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop (CCDH)     ETL, Data Ingest EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent, and zero to two years of related work experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
