Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Primary responsibility is management, enhancement and compilation of The Client‘s Financials Application source code. Work with multi-disciplined development, functional, testing and release management teams to support the definition of new development requirements, incorporation of new development efforts into source control through Rational Team Concert (RTC), compilation of source code to fully packaged software deliverables, implementation of deliverables into multiple application instances, and support Configuration Management practices through Rational Team Concert (RTC). Looking for a self-starting analytical professional with excellent organizational skills and proven experience in software development.   Under minimal direction responsible for all project/application source control including direct responsibility for all builds. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Establishes procedures to solve complex problems regarding build construction, repository management and source control. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Provides guidance to less experienced analyst/programmers. RESPONSIBILITIES: As Build Engineer: Setup / monitor jazz build engine on different instances Support the development team on Rational Team Concert workspace issues Maintain Rational Team Concert members, modify users/roles per request Delivers changes to multiple Streams in a Project Source control tracking incoming and outgoing changes, create baseline branches Maintain repositories files structure in Rational Team Concert Able to write / modify AIX build scripts Understand SQL scripts for execution. Set up build definitions to run as ant scripts and command scripts Review build logs and package builds for application deployment Schedule and perform daily / weekly builds for testing purpose Maintain documents to list all builds of materials and deployment instructions   Manage Source Control practices in Rational Team Concert (RTC) Incorporate code deliverables from exterior source and merge deliverables with FBI specific development within Rational Team Cocnert (RTC) Source Control Execute automated build scripts on both Windows and AIX servers Package and document build output into build/release packages on AIX servers Assist with the creation of the FBI Release Schedule, uphold code freeze dates reflected on the FBI Release Schedule, and manage the inclusion and migration of all approved and completed development work items into build deliverables as scheduled on the FBI Release Schedule Assist with Configuration Management within Rational Team Concert (RTC) Assist with Functional and Technical Release Notes documentation Assist with analyzing and documenting proper execution steps for SQL and PL/SQL scripts Maintain and develop automated build scripts in ANT, XML and AIX Shell scripting Support development testing efforts and peer code reviews Collaborate with multiple project teams to ensure all requirements and objectives are met upon deployment of builds   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Required Qualifications: Bachelor‘s degree in information systems, computer science or related field or equivalent experience and 5-7 years of experience. Experience in systems analysis, software design/administration, requirements analysis, or systems/applications software development. Experience with AIX/UNIX operating systems Experience with source control software and code management practices Experience with SFTP tools and AIX file management practices Experience researching, identifying and deploying solutions and communicating directly with client stakeholders Ability to work both independently and with a team to meet deadlines and objectives Initiative to quickly learn and put new skills to use Strong written, oral and organizational skills   Desired Qualifications: Experience with Momentum Financials strongly preferred Experience with Rational Team Concert (RTC), Jazz Build Engine, and/or Source Control Experience with Configuration Management Experience with ANT and/or XML Experience with Oracle 11g or 12c Experience with software build engineering IBM Rational Team Concert version 4 (current), Jazz Build Engine PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
