Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:   CACI has an outstanding opportunity for a talented User Interface (UI) Designer to create amazing user experiences for supporting a prestigious civilian government organization. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces for a better user experience.  The candidate will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to work with the Application Development team on issues related to the design and development of client oriented, mission-critical information and software systems in an Agile Development Environment. The candidate must be able to clearly communicate both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. Strong interpersonal skills are required due to continual interaction with clients, managers, and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast paced work environment.    RESPONSIBILTIES:   - Collaborate with product management and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience in an Agile Development Environment - Provide Story Points in an Agile Development Environment - Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to the Developers - Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks - Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas - Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and product owners - Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback - Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards - Applicant will be subject to a full field investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate Access credentials for customer location.  - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process - Four (4) years of proven UI experience - Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio - Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps - Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Visual Studio, or other visual design and wire-framing tools - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping - Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction - Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders - Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively - Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - BS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related. Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent, and four to five years of related experience. Specialized training in desktop publishing software and layout skills.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
