CACI NSS, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Administrator to provide cutting edge services within the Intelligence Community.
The candidate will monitor the client's telecommunications systems and networks and maintain message flow, will learn to research and analyze telecommunications activity associated within the technical areas in the telecommunications center, will analyze traffic reports and diagnostic reports to determine network logic and malfunction trends, will troubleshoot problems, and recommend improvements to enhance network performance trends.
This individual will monitor Enterprise Message System (EMS) using automated tools. The individual will also monitor hardware, processes, and networks on a 12 hour shift work schedule.
The work location for this contract is government-furnished space. All work will be performed at both on-site and off-site facilities in the greater Washington metropolitan area. The candidate must have the appropriate skills and experience to operate and monitor message processing systems. The ability to follow the program's configuration management, Project Management Framework, and quality assurance processes. This includes coordination processes, effective communication, adapting as a team player in the program, and keeping all program documents up-to-date. Candidates shall provide critical services in support of the management, monitoring, and operation of 24-hour support environment, including holidays and weekends. The position requires working on 12-hour rotating shifts, alternating working either night or day shifts for a two week period (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, and then switch to the opposite shift and repeat).
€¢ Provide 24 x 7 Tier II and Tier III systems administration support for MHF, ACTOR and EMS messaging systems
€¢ Ensure delivery and confirmation of all organizational messages
€¢ Maintain backup reliability by routine review of practices, policies, and procedure
€¢ Communicate problems and concerns to Tier III MHF and EMS programmers and engineers
€¢ Notify management and other groups of existing problems or concerns
€¢ Document problems and ensure proper action is taken
€¢ Ability to think in a logical manner
€¢ Work experience in a secure telecommunications network environment
€¢ Basic understanding of IT fundamentals
€¢ Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 2008/2012, Windows 7)
€¢ Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Lotus Notes and associated databases, etc.)
€¢ Possess a demonstrated knowledge of organizational communications, communications methods, organizational message flow, formal writing style, and an in-depth knowledge of common terminology and acronyms
€¢ Excellent customer relations, professional, and able to demonstrate a knowledge of interpersonal communications skills
€¢ Possess the ability and confidence to professionally represent the branch through public speaking
€¢ Possess advanced abilities in attention to detail and observation skills
€¢ Working knowledge of computer hardware and hardware functions (switches, routers, servers, etc.), troubleshooting, and pinging devices
€¢ Working knowledge of writing trouble tickets and help desk procedures
€¢ Working knowledge of Lotus Notes (including Domino server and Domino Admin)
€¢ Working knowledge of Tivoli
€¢ Working knowledge of networking
€¢ Working knowledge of systems administration
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 10 to 12 years of related experience.
Position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph US government security clearance.
