POSITION SUMMARY:   Join CACI as a Windows system administrator in a role that supports, maintains, and establishes procedures for the maintenance of complex systems in a challenging and dynamic environment. This role requires working as both as a high level independent contributor as well as a team collaborator.   Under this program, CACI provides IT development and maintenance support to DoD office-level systems. The Windows Administrator will be a member of a five-person multi-discipline system administration team providing physical and virtual server systems as well as value-added solutions to IT staff customers by maintaining secure configurations, escalation support, and delivering on service targets.  As part of the client's IT team, this SA works closely with their team, management, application architects, IT security, application SAs, and DBAs supporting the office's customers.   RESPONSIBILITIES:   Under minimal supervision, perform duties relating to the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of server operating systems in an environment that includes: Virtual and Physical server platforms, Windows and Linux operating systems such as Windows Server 2012R2 and 2008R2, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and, VMware vSphere, SAN and NAS Storage, Networking, Firewall, Directory Services such as MS Active Directory management, Group Policy administration, Highly Available Architectures and Fault Tolerant design, Continuity of Operations planning and Disaster Recovery. Perform advanced system management tasks to include performance monitoring, results analysis and enhancement, as well as process automation through the use of various scripting methods or available technologies.   This position is responsible for operating as an expert in administrating Windows Servers for a highly-virtualized environment.   Perform server administration tasks to ensure optimal uptime for environments.   Provide daily support and maintenance of servers as well as problem resolution, tracing, PowerShell scripting, and project support.   Create and maintain detailed installation and configuration documentation and architecture diagrams.   Retain current knowledge of DoD security and technical guidelines and the organization's policies.   Provide support for production, test, and development environments. After-hours support is required for maintenance, patching, upgrades and unplanned outages.   Work closely with team members, vendors, customers, users, and developers to solve problems.    Provide technical expertise and innovative approaches to developing technical solutions and problem solving.   Contribute to the organization's process improvements efforts.     Provide technical guidance to less experienced systems administrators.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:    U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance   Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically challenging, dynamic environment   Strong communication and documentation skills -- Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in-writing, specifically to include high quality technical documentation and diagrams   Ability to define and implement processes based on awareness of organizational guidelines, policies, and industry best practices   Ability to leverage detail-oriented and analytical skills to solve problems and develop complex solutions   Direct knowledge and experience in the following technical areas:   Windows Server 2008 R2   Windows Server 2012 R2   Active Directory including Group Policy, LDAP backend and Replication   Windows Scripting (powershell, vbscript, or c#)   TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, SSL/TLS   IP Routing   Enterprise Patching   Security and Hardening   Enterprise Backup   DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:     Working knowledge of the following:   Web Server (Apache/IIS)   Public Key Infrastructure   Enterprise Virtualization   Storage Area Networking   Firewalls   Network Intrusion Prevention   Host Intrusion Prevention    Enterprise Monitoring   High Availability and Load Balancing   Disaster Recovery    Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGS)   Experience developing or implementing change control practices   Current knowledge of DoD Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS)   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:   Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent, and 5 to 7 years of related experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.
