POSITION SUMMARY: Join CACI as a Senior Software Developer supporting our Department of Defense customer. As part of the client's IT team, the Senior Software Developer works closely with Architects, Senior Managers, Project Managers, other Software Developers, Requirements Analysts/Testers, IT Security personnel, Operations & Maintenance personnel, and the office's customers. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Write code to create single-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone or those which access servers or services. - Develop code necessary to complete the assigned project(s) in the specified timeframe according to departmental standards and guidelines. - Write, modify, and debug software for client applications. - Identify and report problems in new and existing software. Recreate reported software problems to facilitate solutions, including validating the fix for the software problem. - Resolve customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. - Assist in the preparation of internal software design documentation. - Develop the critical components of the solution, including but not limited to, security, rules infrastructure, custom adapter implementation, and application interfaces. - Use source debuggers and visual development environments. - Architect and code multi-environment system solutions. - Profile, analyze and optimize the software being implemented. - Employ best practices for design, development, unit testing and test plan development. - Support completed software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and in production. - Seek to improve personal job related knowledge and departmental process by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications. - Assist in the training of less experienced software development staff. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Active DoD Secret clearance - ASP .NET 4.0 (or higher) Framework experience - C# experience - Knowledge of Agile development methodologies - Experience interacting with customers/users - Experience working in mission critical, fast-paced environments DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with Test Driven Development - Familiar with automated software testing - Experience with Visual Studio - Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases - Familiar with UML - Experience designing and developing solution architectures - Experience with SQL Server (DB Design, Query Optimization, Indexing), specifically SQL Server 2008 or 2012 and the appropriate and effective use of database objects - Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree and five to seven years of related experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.
