Job Description:          Analyzes and interprets statistical and operational data to calculate and assign confidence on predictions of future outcomes; Uses probability and sampling techniques to present findings and recommendations orally and in written and/or graphic form; Develops forecasts in areas such as the evolution of enemy anti-armor weapon employment, increased or decreased effectiveness, change in weapon systems employment by region, or probability of outcomes following US or Coalition armor modifications. -          Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine trends in threat weapons such as threat levels, weapon effectiveness, evolution in weapon development, or shifts in threat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) -          Applies analytical and quantitative methods to identify and assess vulnerabilities, determine probable outcomes, and recommend statistically effective risk reduction/mitigation solutions based on available combat data -          Searches for and identifies additional relevant information from multiple data sources and computer systems -          Conducts data mining and data analyses in conjunction with a team of data analysts; Explores and innovates data mining techniques to help the customer glean hidden patterns and trends from collected data; Uses data and statistical analysis to develop predictive models based on historical trends and patterns -          Addresses and communicates analytical assumptions, techniques, methodologies, and statistical results effectively via written, graphic, and oral communication -          Evaluates and responds to requests originating within and outside the organization; works with requesters to clarify needs and requirements and identify ways to optimize the data available to answer requirements -          Retrieves and analyzes data in order to answer Requests for Information (RFI) from a broad range of customers, using a variety of analytic tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and Pentaho.  Cross-reference reporting using data retrieval tools such as WebTAS, M3, and InteLink.  -          Produces and maintains complex tables, charts, and graphs and other data outputs -          Prepares accurate, high quality reports reflecting trends based on compiling and analyzing statistical data.  Perform analysis and prepare customized reports using various database and or tools such as Excel or Access -          Identifies and recommend solutions for data integrity problems. Perform quality review of CIDB analytical products to ensure correctness and integrity of the data and statistical analysis -          Performs other duties as assigned   Specialized Experience -“ Capable of analyzing and interpreting data to solve problems and make predictions on future outcomes.  Demonstrated proficiency at using probability and sampling techniques to present findings and recommendations both orally and in written form.  Experienced using statistical techniques to make forecasts.  Must be capable of extracting raw data and transforming it via statistical software packages as well as using MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.      EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Required: Masters degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or related scientific or technical discipline with four (4) years of technical experience; or Bachelor‘s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or related scientific or technical discipline with eight (8) years of technical experience.   Preferred: Graduate degree in Armor Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or similar quantitative field and eight (8) or more years of related work experience. Knowledge of US Ground Weapons Systems and DoD research, development, testing, and acquisitions processes Experience with various partners under US DoD Live Fire Testing and Evaluation (LFT&E), including, US Army Testing and Evaluation Command (ATEC), US Army Research Laboratories (ARL), US Army Research and Development Command (RDECOM), and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Working knowledge of DoD automated intelligence systems such as JWICS and SIPRnet desired, along with All-Source Intelligence Analysis experience Experience writing individual and collaborative assessments       PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
