Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: CACI and the US Army's ARAT-SE team is seeking a Lead Test Engineer in support of the Electronic Warfare Planning and Management Tool (EWPMT).  EWPMT is a part of a Family of Systems called Integrated Electronic Warfare System (IEWS) and is a software application that gives Electronic Warfare Officers (EWOs) capability to plan, de-conflict, coordinate, and manage unit EW activities. Capabilities include: assisting in producing EW orders and estimates, planning and appropriately employing EW assets, conducting effective EW targeting; and enhance development of the Electronic Order of Battle. EWPMT manages a mix of offensive and defensive electronic attack systems employed in support of Brigade Combat Team operations to deny or deceive communications, sensors, Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices, and other electromagnetic systems. RESPONSIBILTIES: The Test Engineer will work closely with Army Tactical Systems (including BCCS, IFS, DCGS-A, etc.) to determine instrumentation, data collection, and analysis to conduct testing to ensure proper functionality of EWPMT system.  Develops systems, standards and computer programs for data acquisition to be used in testing new products and as part of the quality control system within the manufacturing process. Prepares proposals for testing programs, outlines specific testing conditions, and develops operating procedures. Reviews and evaluates complex test specifications, test results, test trends and implements corrective action as needed. Prepares detailed technical reports of findings and makes recommendations for needed modifications to correct problems.   Coordinates and oversees actual tests and analyzes validity of results. Reviews customer requirements and specifications to ensure that tests will confirm that these are satisfied. Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve problems that cause test failures. Studies information from suppliers regarding materials and components to be utilized.  Defines and develops test standards for the testing of information technology products, equipment or systems in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Reviews and evaluates complex test specifications, test results, test trends and implements corrective action as needed. Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve problems that cause test failures. Technical Environment: HW: Dell R420 Servers, Laptops, Network Switches and peripherals OS: Window 7, Window Server 2008 and 2012 Enterprise SW Applications: VMware (vCenter and vSpehere) Support SW Tools: Install IBM Rational Tools Suites, SmartBear TestComplete Tools Suites   REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have experience working with system and sub systems testing for both hardware and software systems, be familiar with Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEWSD) systems, be a quick learner with strong analytical and problem solving skills, be resourceful, and be able to work independently in support of on-going projects. Experience with all aspects of developing and executing a test program. Experience with test and operational environment identification and coordination for installation and checkout. Experience with test process development, test case design, test procedure development, test execution, system evaluation and test reporting. Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development and execution testing including experience with Army products and interfaces. Ability to isolate and resolve problems, document bugs, regress and close issues while working on particular application releases. Familiarity with Army IEWS systems and the above technical platforms and tools.  Strong Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Word skills. Excellent written and spoken communication skills.   DESIRED SKILLS: BS Degree and 8 to 12 years of prior relevant experience Thorough understanding of the DOD 5000 Acquisition / Milestone process Thorough understanding of relevant DOD stakeholder organizations. Must be able to travel periodically to government sites in CONUS. Must be a US citizen with active Secret clearance required.
