Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:   Join CACI as a System Administrator supporting our Department of Defense customer. With a wide range of knowledge, maintains data files and control procedures for a complex system of networked computers or for a single group of microcomputers linked to a host workstation, or mainframe. Responsible for system security and data integrity. Assigns passwords and monitors use of resources, backs up files as required and responds to management requests for information.   RESPONSIBILTIES:   Under minimal supervision, perform duties relating to the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of server operating systems in an environment that includes: Virtual and Physical server platforms, Windows and Linux operating systems such as Windows Server 2012R2 and 2008R2, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and, VMware vSphere, SAN and NAS Storage, Networking, Firewall, Directory Services such as MS Active Directory management, Group Policy administration, Highly Available Architectures and Fault Tolerant design, Continuity of Operations planning and Disaster Recovery.   Perform advanced system management tasks to include performance monitoring, results analysis and enhancement, as well as process automation through the use of various scripting methods or available technologies.   Perform server administration tasks to ensure optimal uptime for environments.   Provide daily support and maintenance of servers as well as problem resolution, tracing, scripting, and project support.   Create and maintain detailed installation and configuration documentation and architecture diagrams.   Retain current knowledge of DoD security and technical guidelines and the organization's policies.   Provide support for production, test, and development environments. After-hours support is required for maintenance, patching, upgrades and unplanned outages.   Work closely with team members, vendors, customers, users, and developers to solve problems.    Provide technical expertise and innovative approaches to developing technical solutions and problem solving.   Contribute to the organization's process improvements efforts.   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:   Typically requires a bachelor‘s degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance Experience interacting with customers/users   Experience working in mission critical, fast-paced environments   DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012 R2   Experience with Active Directory including Group Policy, LDAP backend and Replication   Experience with Windows Scripting (powershell, vbscript, or c#)   Experience with IP Routing   Experience with Enterprise Patching   Experience with Security and Hardening   Experience with Enterprise Backup   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.
