POSITION SUMMARY: CACI seeks a Public Health Analyst/Data Analyst Team Lead to join our award-winning team. The candidate to fill this position will work on and lead projects alongside talented, experienced professionals to support our client to maintain and oversee a public health surveillance system. The PHA/DA position requires strong analytical, critical thinking and excellent interpersonal communication skills to complete work as determined by team of epidemiologists, public health analysts, and statisticians on the team. The candidate will provide expert guidance on coding, reviewing, analyzing, and extracting data in SAS. This positions also requires participation with the team in a collaborative effort to strengthen data integrity, audits and reviews all deliverables as well as several reports. RESPONSIBILTIES: - Serves as an analyst responsible for planning, managing, and evaluating large public health program(s), projects and/or study activities - Provides technical (analysis) assistance to population of healthcare associated infection professionals - Assists in change management process, including providing input in change request and working alongside development team to review system updates - Establishes program standards, policies, strategies, goals and evaluation plans in conjunction with senior staff - Provides formal and informal technical assistance on data integrity and program quality - Analyzes data for reports, presentations and publications - Prepares and make presentations on behalf of client - Serves as liaison, committee member, or similar point of contact with internal and external representatives - Performs scientific, medical and research literature searches in fields including but not limited to Behavioral and Social Sciences, Epidemiology, and Laboratory and prepares slides for scientific presentations - Provides analytic support to multi-disciplinary teams in order to accomplish public health research and program goals; - Prepares/compiles monthly team reports and technical reports and briefings related to data quality and accountability - Participates in management conference calls and meetings with the leadership team regarding staff and business development opportunities EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of experience, of which approximately five (5) years must be specialized in the areas of public health promotion and prevention utilizing public and private partnerships. - Experience with the evaluation of public health programs - Experience leading a team and/or projects - Experience with data quality and accountability - Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis - Ability to communicate results of quantitative and qualitative analyses - Demonstrated SAS experience - Excellent oral and written communication PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
