Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Analyst will serve as a senior analyst on a range of complex program activities requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment of complex management processes, systems and mission support programs. RESPONSIBILTIES: Performs a variety of complex analytical tasks in support of one or more contract programs. Develops plans and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s). Establishes and defines program plan requirements and directs or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans. Develops reports and analyzes performance metrics and programmatic documents against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met. Interacts regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements. Conducts research and develops information to understand major weapons, or other defense or homeland security systems and information systems and structures to include financial, technical and/or engineering data. Performs technical system analysis of very complex weapons systems, defense or homeland security systems and/or weapon portfolios, and acquisition-related engineering and technical management functions; such as electrical and/or mechanical engineering, aeronautical systems and/or engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, manufacturing, production and quality assurance, standardization, modeling and simulation, and test and evaluation. Provides guidance to less experienced Program Analysts. May provide team leadership on assignments or projects.Required Qualifications: -Requires Bachelor‘s Degree or equivalent, and 7-9 years of related (project support or management) experience. -Must have experience developing Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARPs) and supporting the DOD acquisition process (obligation plans, LCCEs, R/P/C forms, LRRDP, POM). -Must have experience as a contractor supporting Army officers (MAJ; LTC; COL) and collaborating with systems engineers, acquisition specialists, cost analysts, logisticians, and trainers. Desired Qualifications: -Highly desire prior experience supporting electronic sensor systems and similar technical products. -Prior experience in Milestone B, Milestone C, and product sustainment for electronic systems is rated highly.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
