Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction, performs moderately complex technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, proto-type models or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems.   RESPONSIBILTIES: Work requires extensive knowledge of operating electronic principles such as circuit elements, micro-miniaturized integrated circuits, antennas, signal behavior, transmission, amplification and display for various Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems radar systems. Must be able to test, troubleshoot, align, and calibrate equipment using high frequency signals. Must be familiar with the limitations of and be able to set up and use a variety of test instruments and equipment, such as specialized tests sets, standing wave indicators, signal generators, oscilloscopes multi-meters, frequency meters and oscillators   REQUIRED QULIFICATIONS:   Active Secret Clearance   Minimum 5 years‘ experience   Must have past experience with precision test stations, calibration and alignments of sub-systems using bench test procedures and automated test equipment.    Operational testing of systems shall/may include simulated flight and target tracking testing, simulated laser targeting, calibration, alignment, and aircraft precision approach testing.   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and five years of related experience and  Vocational/Technical training beyond high school. Military training preferred.    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
