Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: Develop custom programs for web sites that will attract users and provide desired information. Possesses working knowledge of programming and server software operations. Creates Web front-end user interface to new or existing databases using a combination of HTML, SQL, C, VB or other languages to make business applications accessible. Manage DoD and Federal internal portal pages Assists in creating and maintaining custom programs for websites utilizing various updated and cutting edge technologies. Works to implement client/company product features into new and existing websites. Works with portal working group and remote team to develop and document improvements for existing processes. Works with content managers on projects including web-based applications, website enhancements, desktop applications, database-backed websites and web layout enhancements. Assists in processes concerning the architecture of new applications to meet client needs. Codes web pages utilizing XHTML and CSS and other computer coding languages, following industry standards. Works with a variety of database systems including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server among others. Work within a variety of database frameworks including ODBC and ADO. Utilize Oracle WebCenter to create pages for stakeholders and content owners Required Qualifications: - Must possess DoD Secret Clearance - Web Content Management, Javascript, or HTML knowledge - Excellent problem solving skills required - Excellent presentation, communication, leadership, organization, research, and team-work skills required - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Desired Qualifications: - Self-starter, able to work independently, without direct supervision; - Experience with Oracle WebCenter - Previous DoD experience EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
