Job Description

Summary: BIT Systems (part of CACI's National and Cyber Solutions Group) is looking for a DSP Engineer to work in our Sterling, VA offices.  This position requires a strong background in DSP.  Engineers are expected to have excellent technical expertise, to be highly self-directed and motivated, and collaborate respectfully with their teammates, always keeping user mission first.  Work on an agile DSP team developing mission critical capabilities for DOD and IC customers.   Duties and Responsibilities(include but are not limited to): - Implement signal processing algorithms - Design, develop, debug, and test signal processing algorithms running on a variety of platforms supporting intelligence, defense, and other government missions - Work with a product development team to develop concepts, identify creative solutions to customer requirements and assess feasibility of these solutions - Support the design, build, and delivery of signal processing systems Required Qualifications: - Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent and 10 to 12 years of related experience. - Experience programming in a Linux environment - Must have excellent programming skills in C/C++ and python. - Experience with designing signal processing algorithms, modulators/demodulators, and channel equalizers. - Thorough understanding of software defined radio systems including receiver architectures, software channelization, modulation/demodulation techniques, spectral analysis, error correcting codes - Involvement in the full spectrum of product development (concept, design, implementation, test, production) - Working familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, etc.) - Development of link budgets, range estimates, and system sensitivity assessments Desired Qualifications: - A Master‘s degree or Ph.D. in EE or related engineering discipline preferred. - X-Midas experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.   DSPHP
