Job Description

CACI has openings for Lead Help Desk Technicians in Oklahoma City, OK. The Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS) is a technologically advanced information processing, display, and telecommunications system that is the cornerstone of the National Weather Service (NWS) modernization and restructuring. AWIPS is an interactive computer system that integrates all meteorological, hydrological, satellite and radar data, enabling the forecaster to prepare and issue more accurate and timely forecasts and warnings. This opportunity is pending contract award.   Duties and Responsibilities:   Resolves technical problems and answers queries by telephone in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems. Diagnoses, identifies, isolates and analyzes problems utilizing historical database records. May route calls to product line specialists. Maintains and updates records and tracking databases. Alerts management to recurring problems and patterns of problems.   Qualifications:   Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 3-4 years of related experience Ability to obtain/maintain NOAA/NWS Public Trust Previous experience supporting NWS/NOAA AWIPS is highly desired
