The Multilateral Interoperability Programme ( MIP) is an effort to deliver an assured capability for interoperability of information to support multinational, combined and joint operations. The MIP goal is to support all levels from corps to battalion. MIP's focus is on command and control systems. POSITION SUMMARY: Under very general direction, works from specifications to develop or modify complex software programs to enhance an operating system. May give some guidance to less experienced software systems engineers. RESPONSIBILTIES: This position will analyze and interpret software requirements. Identify software implementation specifics. Provide training and technical support to PM MC. Attend events and exercises including NIE, AWA, JWA, CWIX, Bold Quest, USAREUR exercises, MIP Working Group. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Active Secret Clearance Hands on experience with CPOF, GCCS, DDS MIP Versions 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, NFFI and SitaWare. Ability to work in a face-paced environment with many stakeholders. Ability troubleshoot software issues. Ability to work with coalition partners in a multi-national environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor‘s degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related work experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
