Job Description

This is a new fully funded opportunity in San Antonio TX in support of the Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) which will have a need for a Project Manager on the ATSSI (Automatic Test System Sustainment Initiative) program.   Project Manager:    Duties and Responsibilities include: - Primary responsibility will be to proactively manage Test Program Set (TPS) Development projects - Review contract requirements and financials. Ensure program financial and schedule commitments are met - Responsible for project cost, schedule and technical performance - Ability to identify high-performing talent and provide essential guidance to enhance employee value to the organization - Integrate with other project managers and functional managers to ensure all project objectives are identified and met - Ensure all program personnel requirements are met as required to meet cost and schedule objectives. Prioritize resource assignment - Preside over successful resolution of program conflicts in requirements, schedule and cost - Actively monitor project risk. Develop proactive strategies to address each risk - Ensure quality commitments for both the organization and the contract are satisfied   Required Experience: - Prior successful execution of DoD development of automated test equipment (ATE) systems for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems, including both software and hardware design - Successful execution of a substantial Earned Value program - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal  Desired Experience: - Past experience developing Test Program Sets for DoD programs. - PMP Certification - Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience, including three to five years of supervisory/management experience.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
