CACI is currently seeking skilled Network Engineer II to provide on-site support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Customs and Immigration Services (USCIS). Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include designing, provisioning, and supporting network and infrastructure components such as servers, routers and switches, network storage devices, firewalls, data electronics, Uninterrupted Power Systems, encrypted backup solutions, and voice and video systems, as well as the removal of existing network features and infrastructure components. The successful candidate will provide system administrative and operational support for data systems - router, switches and servers to the designated geographical region. This includes Local Area Network (LAN) support to USCIS offices within the region and on-site. The candidate will coordinate all on-site support with appropriate OIT ATD Division, vendors, contractor personnel, USCIS organizations and other Government agencies. Daily responsibilities include the following activities: * Creating new data infrastructure designs utilizing Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering standards and user rollout support. * Deployment and implementation of physical access control infrastructure hardware for storage area network services. * Backup and archive support. * Support multiple, concurrent testing and deployment efforts. * Provide resources to support USCIS OIT management with the deployment of the LAN/WAN, including but not limited to CSU/DSU(s), routers, switches, WAN optimizers, enterprise application and resource servers, encryptors, VoIP switches, VTC and other network enterprise devices. * Perform installation of unclassified LAN devices to USCIS locations. Installation of devices shall be done in accordance to USCIS policy and procedures and shall be implemented per the design provided by USCIS. All data circuits and WAN services will only be ordered using the Network Information Management Systems (NIMS). USCIS uses the DHS One.NET for all WAN services. * Assist in ensuring the delivery of all components and associated materials and supplies required to properly and fully implement each project in accordance with USCIS-approved design, infrastructure standards, project schedules, and task statements. * Provide the information for all components to ensure they are properly documented and entered into USCIS property management systems, EIDOCS and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). * Provide information to develop Statement of Work (SOW) for various projects as required for installation of various infrastructure requirements such as additional power, different wall plugs, room UPS systems and additional cooling. * Be willing to travel at least 10% of the time various USCIS sites to perform installation duties. Required Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience with Cisco data router and switches and server systems - hardware and software. * Demonstrated experience performing hardware and software installations as required for LANs/WANs. * Demonstrated experience with network storage devices, firewalls, data electronics, Uninterrupted Power Systems, encrypted backup solutions, and voice and video systems. * Track record of success in a metrics-driven service management environment, responding to service requests and managing a queue of Remedy tickets. * Track record of success in supporting a diverse, demanding, challenging customer environment. * Bachelor's Degree and/or 2-4 years of related work experience. * US Citizenship is required. * Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance. Desired Qualifications: * Experience operating in a DevOps environment for at least twelve months preferred. * Current DHS EOD highly desired.
