POSITION SUMMARY: CACI Inc. has an immediate opportunity for an experienced HVAC Technician. RESPONSIBILITIES: Will install, operate, maintain, repair and modify various makes and models of HVAC and other customer electrical/mechanical equipment as directed. Operating and maintaining mobile power generation and electrical distribution systems. Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support at customer and/or field locations. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time. Upgrade and remove products following engineering change direction. Maintain effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel. The HVAC Technician will assist with a variety of complex technical functions related to the installation, repair and maintenance of customer HVAC their components and other electrical mechanical support equipment. Will monitor and keep records of work tasks through formal work orders using a company work order system. Will assist with Programmed Depot Maintenance tasks which include scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Will be required to perform quality inspections. Must be able to read and write technical subject reports and assist with the writing and editing of technical manuals. Will be required to use several Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Will be required to work closely with the engineering staff to develop equipment integration methods and/or repairs. Must be willing to travel in support of customer and company requirements. Will provide surge capability to the Integration Support and Electronics Shop and perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires an Associate's degree and five to seven years of related experience. Required: -High School diploma with skilled trade or equivalent US military / government technical training. -Experience with power generation systems, both military and commercial applications. -Possess a current EPA Section 608 Universal HVAC Technician Certification. -Five years of work experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment and systems. -Two years of work experience related to direct customer service. -The ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams. -The ability to read and understand mechanical and metal fabrication drawings. -The ability to train customers on various technical subjects. -Familiarity with the National Electrical Code. -Valid drivers license. -The ability to perform compliance and quality inspections. -The ability to use Microsoft Office software programs. -The ability to research vendors for parts and services. -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules. -Reliability, communications skills, workmanship, and good judgment are essential traits. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: -Must be able to lift 40 pounds unassisted -Must be able to distinguish all colors to work on electronic components -Works with and uses all tools, materials, instruments, machines and equipment necessary to perform duties. Desired: -AAS degree in HVAC/R from a two year accredited college, and/or equivalent US military / government technical training preferred: Equivalent experience in a trade related field, that is; electrical, plumbing, construction, which would apply to the HVAC Trade. -Ten years of work experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment and systems. -General certified technician. -National Electrical Code Journeyman certification. -Ability to obtain or already possess current commercial driver's license (CDL). -Five - ten years of experience with power generation and electrical distribution systems.
