Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Training Instructor 2 will provide communications equipment technical training to SOF personnel and support personnel.   RESPONSIBILTIES: Conduct training IAW established curriculum and departmental guidelines. Maintain a constant surveillance of assigned courses to ensure the courses reflect the latest changes and directives, such as safety messages, bulletins, and technical publication changes. Provide the Training Manager with daily reports on the status of training, to include WOs for technical issues, Curriculum issues and any issues with students or component commands. Provide the Training Manager, with all required End Of Course documentation in a timely manner. Provide subject matter expert (SME) assistance to the Curriculum Developers in the preparation and upkeep of all components of Lesson Plans (LPs) and related instructional materials for the course(s) assigned. Complete instructor certification for those courses assigned by the Training Manager. Maintain the highest level of technical and instructional expertise in the subject area assigned to instruct. Personalize LPs to ensure accuracy and quality of training is current. Administer tests and critique results with the class. Conduct remediation for the students. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: HS Diploma Twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with Joint Warfighter C4ISR, to include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA Degree Highly Desirable Demonstration of previous experience providing technical training, design, development, test and evaluation, network protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, satellite theory and Windows based operating system.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
