POSITION SUMMARY CACI International, Inc. (CACI) has an immediate opportunity for a Senior VTC Engineer onsite in Quantico, VA supporting the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Information Technology Directorate (ITD). The ITD supports the NCIS core mission areas while protecting the people, equipment, technology and infrastructure of the United States Navy and Marine Corps. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY Serving as a recognized authority manages the plans, evaluates, and/or coordinates the installation of local and/or remote data and voice communications equipment such as: terminals, modems, video conferencing units, concentrators, minicomputers, central processing units, mobile devices. Designs complex networks or portions of networks that include selection of hardware and software packages. Oversees voice network reconfiguration and billing reconciliation. Ensures that all software including network control programs satisfy the communications needs covering both the hardware and software installed. Expert in the development of standards for carrier service and equipment. €¢ Interfaces with user management to ensure that the telecommunications systems adequately meets present and future needs. €¢ Matches usage and load patterns with a proper network design to enhance the efficiency and reduce the cost of telecommunications operations. €¢ Coordinates technical assistance to resolve telecommunications operational problems in order to promote effective system operations. €¢ Plans and coordinates installation of telecommunications systems to ensure effective system implementation and maximize user convenience. €¢ Recommends appropriate hardware systems and software packages in order to promote cost-effective telecommunications. €¢ Identifies financial impact of changes in the telecommunications industry in order to assist management in maximizing long-term client/customer effectiveness. €¢ Plans and schedules the appropriate resources to ensure efficient development and completion of communications projects. €¢ Trains and develops peers and less experienced telecommunications personnel in voice and data applications to enhance productivity. €¢ Makes effective use of resources in providing voice and data telecommunications support services. €¢ Coordinates all phases of system implementation after having evaluated and recommended appropriate telecommunications hardware and software packages. €¢ Provides management with analysis of the operational and financial impact of proposed regulatory changes. €¢ Ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regulatory monitoring and voice network analysis regarding short and long range planning for in-house systems. €¢ Schedules projects and resources in order to successfully complete communications assignments.MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS €¢ Fully adjudicated active Top Secret clearance is required to start, must be eligible to obtain SCI-level adjudication €¢ DoD 8570 - IAT Level I/CSWF PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS €¢ Understanding of Video Teleconferencing platforms and peripherals. €¢ Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Tool Suite €¢ Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills €¢ Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently; self-starter €¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 10-15 years of related experience. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or program. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
