Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: This is an immediate need! Qualified candidates will have experience configuring Cisco routers and switches, experience operating and configuring VSAT/Indirect, experience in integration, fielding, production, installation, test, and evaluation, maintenance, and Life Cycle Sustainment Management (LCSM) in Department of Defense (DoD) C4ISR systems, subsystems, and equipment.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches, Specialized experience in the design, development, testing, analysis, operation or maintenance of Joint Warfighter Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems which include, SCAMPI Deployable Node-Medium, Deployable Multichannel SATCOM (DMCS) and SCAMPI Deployable Node-Lite. In addition, the candidate should have knowledge in HAIPE encryption devices, BGAN and INMARSAT networks, and LAN/ WAN.  Candidates must be able to pass CRC for potential deployments.   Responsible for participating in promoting, improving, maintaining and supporting all telecommunications services and/or systems.   Assists in the designs of networks or portions of networks that include selection of hardware and software packages.   Assists in voice network reconfiguration and billing reconciliation's.   Helps to ensure that all software including network control programs satisfy the communications needs covering both the hardware and software installed.   Develops or assists in the development of standards for carrier service and equipment.   Prepares or ensures that appropriate telecommunication documentation exists, including operational instructions.   Serves as a liaison to users, departments and vendors by providing the assistance on all aspects of telecommunications services and systems used throughout the organization.   Assists in all service / system upgrades while being a team player involving telecommunications and networking projects.   Performs or assists in the analysis in determining business process improvements utilizing the telecommunication systems.   Provides hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all related systems, equipment failures or service issues.   May research available and emerging voice, data and video communication technologies to recommend future implementations.   Works closely with network administrators on communication and connectivity projects and maintenance.   Uses knowledge of current systems to promote beneficial capabilities and leverage use of the system's features.   Installs and tests communication equipment.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Active Top Secret   Technical Training in DoD C5ISR systems   Twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems to include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.  Must be a recognized expert who has demonstrated leadership in Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems development, logistics support or test & evaluation.     EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor's degree and twelve (12) years of hands-on experience.    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
