Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: CACI's San Antonio program office which supports DoD and USAF programs, is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator / Developer.  The position will be close to 40/hours per week to start, and then go to Part Time and average about 20 hours per week.  DUTIES: - Design, enhance and maintain SQL Server database - Use VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and MS Access - Write SQL statements - Create or modify database objects and/or write SQL code in support of application - Support MS SharePoint (experience desired, not required) - Monitor and improve database performance and capacity - Ensure that database systems are safeguarded and implement necessary security measures to ensure data integrity - Responsible for controlling privileges and permissions to databases and for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, and access and security administration. - Assist with upgrading database for new version release when needed - Syncing data across data sources or platforms; archiving data using vendor-specific tools - Other related tasks as needed     EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and one or two years of related experience MS SQL Server Database Administration (Or Oracle) Experience writing SQL Statements Experience with SQL, T-SQL and MySQL are desired Experience with MS Access using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) Experience with SharePoint is desired, not required -Must have at least one year of hands-on, successful experience in actually doing the work in a SQL Server environment. - Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading the system, as well as supporting and troubleshooting applications deployed on that platform - Experience using such systems and performing such tasks in a litigation support environment is extremely helpful - Excellent oral and written communication skills are required - Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
