Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities: Works out the details of functional and design requirements, systems design, programming specifications, data elements, data validation specifications, data capture mechanisms, and data conversion procedures through discussions with client staff and own superiors.  Translates the functional requirements into systems designs suitable for development of appropriate computer programs.  Tests software, including preparation and use of sample data for testing purposes.  Makes presentations of findings, recommendations, and specifications in formal reports and in oral presentations. Develops systems documentation required in the task orders.  Consults with client staff and with other Contractor staff to assure understanding of task objectives; identifies problems and suggests improvements.  Provides technical expertise, direction and supervision to lower level personnel.  Reports on progress to client staff and to superiors.  Provides user and technical documentation and training for systems developed.   Creates and executes SQL-based scrips for Relativity and other environments, and otherwise assists with troubleshooting as well as designing and executing complex queries and reports.  Creates DOS batch scripts to copy and rename files and automate other file manipulation tasks. Uses regular expressions to manipulate text files and metadata, and to update native/text/image pointers.   Develops and maintains ad-hoc databases in Access, SQL and other programs. Utilizes Microsoft Access and SQL Server Management Studio to track tickets, troubleshoot issues in the database applications, and perform maintenance and monitor environment health.   Utilizes LAW PreDiscovery, Relativity Processing, Microsoft Access, and other tools to load data into Relativity and Nexidia. Performs QC of data loaded into review platforms.   Performs migrations from legacy database platforms to current platform. Assists in the tracking of all support activities, including maintaining the ticketing management system and creating reports.   Creates and manages databases and workspaces, including creating layouts, conducting searches, importing and exporting data, preparing productions and trial materials, and consulting with litigation support staff to help them effectively cull, search, and use the data.   Ensures that documentation is complete and up-to-date. Required Qualifications:   Experience using and supporting users on the following applications:  Relativity, Concordance, and LAW PreDiscovery.   Experience in the design, creation and population of databases, performing backups and archives, troubleshooting data or application issues, writing batch files and SQL scripts to automate, streamline or standardize processes, and evaluating application effectiveness and reviewing new applications to identify potential tools to be brought into the team.   Experience evaluating and manipulating document and image load files.   In-depth understanding of eDiscovery protocols and specifications.   Excellent attention to detail, and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly.   Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks according to client requirements.    Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on site with government clients.   Ability to attain a government security clearance.  A minimum of a NACI will be required.   Desired Qualifications:   An Undergraduate degree strongly preferred, preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines and at least 7 years of hands-on, successful experience in doing the work on systems similar to those being used by client.   Experience using, supporting and training users on the following applications:  CaseSoft Suite, Relativity, Concordance, Nexidia, Practice Manager, LAW PreDiscovery, and additional litigation software tools.   Experience working with financial data.   Trial support and preparation experience.   Experience supporting upgrades and migrations to new software applications.
