Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for an Jr. Technical Writer supporting a DHS customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. We are a seeking an experienced and motivated Jr. Technical Writer who will provide support to read and analyze highly technical materials and to create presentations of that information. This may be specifications, drawings, user manuals, presentations, reports, documents and training. This includes support for mission systems, IT systems, organization processes, documentation and training. This role necessarily deals with highly confidential and sensitive information, and the role is expected to confirm to best handling practices.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Established and productive individual contributor who works independently with general supervision. The Jr. Technical Writer will be actively involved with other technical staff through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

Work with both corporate and customer leadership to research, analyze, and implement enterprise-wide network security solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.
Support creation of contract deliverables and change control project artifacts
Requirements gathering, meeting facilitation and documentation reviews
Support requirements gathering, meeting facilitation and documentation reviews Translate business strategies, customer expectations, and requirements into detailed narratives, specifications, flowcharts, and process flows
Create and support documentation to include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Configuration Documentation, Policy Documentation, and Training Documentation.
Support training efforts as required - provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs
Deliver high quality documentation summarizing complex technical concepts in an easily understandable format.
Develop high-level reports and presentations for briefing Program Managers and senior leadership on all elements of acquisition program performance, contract deliverables, and recommendations.
Support Translate business strategies, customer expectations, and requirements into detailed narratives, specifications, flowcharts, and process flows
Support the Delivery of high-quality documentation summarizing complex technical concepts in an easily understandable format.
Support develop high-level reports and presentations for briefing Program Managers and senior leadership on all elements of acquisition program performance with quantitative analysis and recommendations.
Support general technical writing duties (e.g. standard operating procedures, user manuals, On-line API usage document guidance documentations, and other technical deliverables)
Support develop documentations that aligns with the writing style and expectations of the client and intended audience.
Implements and executes on technical initiatives and solutions. Responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in system and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
Addresses somewhat complex technical issues/problems that require a depth of technical job knowledge from other areas. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.

Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment.

Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Relevant DHS focused experience
University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
Experience with creating contract deliverables is preferred.
Familiarity with Agile is a plus
Experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.
Experience with major cloud providers preferred.
