Job Description

CACI is seeking a full-time modeling and simulation engineer at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. The position supports Electronic Warfare studies. You will be researching, designing and developing new capabilities for modeling and simulation software to properly handle current and future generation sensors and scenarios. As a part of a team you will help develop the process of incorporating model improvements for a range of technologies including RADAR, communications, electronic attack, electronic protection, and cyber effects. Plusses are experience with modeling software tools, radar, coordinate transforms, propagation modeling, threat analysis, and programming languages such as MATLAB/Simulink and C++. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, directly contributing to projects evaluating capabilities of future weapons systems and advanced electronic warfare techniques. What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Research and model processes to validate, improve and add new capabilities to existing sensor and simulation models
  • Design and develop new or enhance existing RADAR models to support current and future customer requirements  
  • Work closely with teammates, and other contractors designing and running models to refine scenarios and experiments to ensure accuracy and validity before final runs 
  • Support tests of new modeling program capabilities
  • Work with the customer and CACI teammates to establish objectives, priorities, and schedules
  • Early identification of issues impacting ability to meet objectives or schedule
  • Support reports on tested system capabilities, summarizing test results for the sponsors


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • An ability to breakdown and solve problems with programmatic and scientific methods
  • Demonstrated mathematics and model development skills
  • Team player who can accomplish goals with minimal supervision
  • BS College degree with at least 3-10 years of experience that demonstrates relevant skills
  • U.S. Citizen and Clearable to Top Secret/SCI level

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Modeling and Simulation experience with models such as ESAMS, Suppressor, AFSIM, or similar military models is a plus
  • Understanding of military systems, doctrine and tactics is a plus
  • MATLAB/Simulink, C++, C, Python, Java, FORTRAN programming experience
  • Current Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus
  • Technical writing and documentation experience
  • Willingness to learn new tools, skills, and new ways of thinking about a problem
