Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Wireless Optimization Engineer supporting a DHS customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. We are a seeking an experienced and motivated candidate to join our team in Burlington, Vermont to provide continuous improvement, redesign, rebuild, build, scale, modernization, WAN/LAN routing, switch, cloud and optimization. Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values. This role necessarily deals with highly confidential and sensitive information, and the role is expected to confirm to best handling practices.

The Wireless Optimization Engineer will lead the design and architecture for the wireless enterprise expansion and also assist as needed with validation, programming, and installation efforts. Candidate will require the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as a team, to complete project tasks; execute technical assignments for various customers; comprehend and analyze business and technical requirements to deliver complex, high-quality solutions which support customer missions. Candidate will implement technical solutions, applying industry best practices and standards to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
More About the Role:
Design and architect, and document an enterprise wireless network that will expand, adapt, and improve our infrastructure.
Develop and create engineering installation plans as well as integrate, troubleshoot, and support multi-vendor networks.
Develop solutions which integrate multiple OEM solutions in networking routing/switching, virtualization, and network-security technical disciplines.
Possess in-depth knowledge of Cisco routing/switching, firewalls, and wireless.
Communicate via written technical documentation or interactive sessions with customers.
Support, train, and mentor wireless/cable technicians.
Serve as escalation point for technical support of team members and technicians.
Assist with programming and installing of Wi-Fi/DAS equipment.
Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract.

An active Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment.
Extensive experience with supporting tools such as, or similar to (Cisco Routing and Switching platforms, Aruba, Cisco Wireless, Riverbed Steelhead family suite, Steel Central Controller, NetProfiler, NetCollecter. Steel Central Mobile Controller, Steel Central ARX, Cisco Identity Services Engine, Solarwinds, AlgoSec, Cisco Cloud Center and VMWare NSX, Cisco Meraki, Infoblox, Stealwatch, Cisco Firepower, Meraki Cloud Portal and devices, Cisco Security Manager, VipTella, Riverbed SD-WAN, IWAN, Policy Based Routing, QoS Quality of Service, Cisco ACI/SDN Platform, Cisco Nexus Platform Amazon, MS Azure and Google
Detail and process-oriented
Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
Five years or more in network design and architecture, analysis, installation, and optimization required.
One to four years of strong networking experience in telecom or IT-industry engineering role required.
Knowledge of RF design; perform/develop network topology, surveys, and heat maps required.
Direct, hands-on experience with Cisco and experience with Cisco wireless systems; including Cisco Prime and ISE required.
Expert knowledge of wireless troubleshooting at all layers, including packet analysis required.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Relevant DHS focused experience.
Cisco Certifications are a plus
Certified ITILv3 foundation preferred
Experience with creating contract deliverables is preferred
Experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts
Experience with major cloud providers preferred
