Job Description

CACI is seeking a cleared Budget Specialist who will work in support of the C5ISR Headquarters and subordinate directorates at Aberdeen Proving Ground MD.  The individual will be working on a government site with the customer and associated contractors as part of the C5ISR accounting team. 

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Prepare, analyze, and update budgetary documentation in all new and existing C5ISR systems-of-systems, family-of-systems, platforms, systems as well as subsystems and items: Foreign Military Sales, Financial Reporting Enterprise (FIRE), and C5ISR Center Enterprise Networks.-Use the Department of Defense standard financial systems (e.g. General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Standard Operations and Maintenance, Army R&D System (SOMARDS), Finance Systems (STANSFINS) to report, record and analyze budgetary documents.-Use the Department of Defense standard financial systems (e.g. General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Standard Operations and Maintenance, Army R&D System (SOMARDS), Finance Systems (STANSFINS) to report, record and analyze budgetary documents.
  • Experienced in the preparation and analysis of financial statements. 
  • Develop databases and assesses future trends.
  • Coordinate and interface with vendors, customers and subcontractors as required.
  • Monitor and report financials against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Develop plans including budgets and schedules to meet contractual and project requirements for an assigned portion of a program

More About the Role:

This position will provide training for the selected candidate in the General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and the utilization of the ERP and Business Intelligence


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • BS and 5 years experience or AA/AS or 2yr Tech School and 8 years experience.
  • Knowledge of Operation and Maintenance, Appropriation and Reimbursable funding. 
  • Proficient in developing, executing and monitoring program planning, with an emphasis on government labor
  • Able to critically think and manage a large program with some government guidance. 
  • Customer service orientated and able to articulate program solvency and status with supervisor effectively

These would be Nice to Have:
  • Skilled in GFEBS and utilization of both ERP and Business Intelligence
