What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Network Unified Communications (UC) Engineer. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.
The Network Unified Comms Engineer should have Enterprise level IP Telephony administration experience in an operations and maintenance environment.
Duties include providing the UC design, installation, integration, and product development so that the team meets customer specifications and complies/conforms with the organizational roadmap. Develop engineering design plans, provide engineering solutioning, ensure engineering solutions meet configuration baselines. Develop and deliver installation, integration and maintenance documentation to operations and maintenance personnel. Work with external service providers to ensure their solutions meet the organizations configuration management policy and procedures. Support engineering tasks for the project management lifecycle. Staying abreast of emerging trends in information technology and helping shape the work for the Government. As the senior UC engineer on site, the position also includes tier 3 troubleshooting support when needed to operations and maintenance, as well as escalated support for maintenance, monitoring, upgrades, network performance reviews, problem determination and resolution, of the EUCOM unclassified and classified Voice and Video over IP (VVoIP), Voice over IP (VoIP) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) services. Duties also include configuration of devices in accordance with security policies, capacity and utilization monitoring. The engineer will provide trending and capacity planning services to analyze and plan for efficient utilization and management of the networked services. As necessary, troubleshoot and correct all detected or reported network faults or outages and complete after-action problem identification. Position supports enterprise VVoIP and VTC dial-plan management and account management functions.
Applicant must have a solid understanding of voice technologies and experience in administering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager), voice gateways / Session Border Controllers, SIP, H.323, Cisco Expressway/ VCS, TMS, Prime Collaboration, Meeting Server, MCU and VoIP/Video endpoints.

Deliver infrastructure designs, builds, and escalated support to services and products. Support network engineering activities that span across multiple disciplines and platforms. Perform engineering functions found in the service design domain and provide escalated support to incident management. Support engineering efforts to design, build, test, integrate, transition, implement, document, and train when transitioned to IT Operations Management. Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization.
Additionally, the Network Unified Comms Engineer will provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required.
