CACI is currently looking for experienced Solution Architect to join our Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology (BEAGLE) contract at the Agile Solution Factory (ASF). Join this passionate team of industry-leading technologists supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Northern Virginia and nationwide!

As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP Agents and Officers protect our national security and borders through coordinated border security, customs, immigration, and agricultural law enforcement activities.

The ability to quickly adapt and work constructively across a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Architect new solution in a Multi-Tenant Cloud Architecture that will support legacy Java, .NET, and COTS client/server applications
  • Hands on work with development, design and testing and tasking.
  • Providing evaluation of third-party tools (Analysis of Alternatives) and communicating with vendors.
  • Preparing written and oral communication with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work well within an integrated team environment as well as independently
  • Document, Update and develop solution-level architectures, detailed designs, and strategies, and transition plans.
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise and mentoring to teams
  • Provide hands-on support in transitioning programs from development, through operational installation, through to Operations and Sustainment.
  • Champions all aspects of the enterprise architecture function including architectural standards, governance processes, and provides the vision to explore and effectively utilize emerging technologies
  • Identifies risks, opportunities, compliance issues or other architectural concerns
  • Define and oversee technical and agile best practices
  • Performs Architecture reviews as required, ensuring initiatives are aligned with future state
  • Mentor the Product Architects and Product Teams
  • Embed with teams to implement reference architecture as necessary

You Will Bring These Qualifications:

•             Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:

o             3 year check for felony convictions

o             1 year check for illegal drug use

o             1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Java or .NET development
  • Professional experience operating within cross-functional teams and groups.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • AWS, Azure or Google architecture certification
  • Familiarity with tools such as MuleSoft, Kafka, AWS S3, SpringBoot and relational and non-relational databases
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Experience in Java, .NET, Web Services, Message Queueing, Microservices & client/server architecture
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Docker, OpenShift or other Containerization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in web design, usability, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, Testers, and Production Support Engineers to implement innovative technical solutions via iterative approach reducing time to delivery
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Ability to write and execute test procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter
  • Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing creative solutions.
  • Modeling tools UML or Enterprise Architect
  • Experience with Java; Familiarity with the following: Hibernate (or other ORM), Spring, JAX-RS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Web-Services (JAX-WS or JAX-RS), JBoss, Eclipse, maven, jUnit, and shell scripting.

               

These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Technical Certifications, such as OCAJP; OCPJP; OCE, OCM; CSM.
  • Additionally, familiarity with any of the following is highly desirable: Angular, VMware, ETL tools, ESB, KAFKA Message Queuing, application security, automated testing, UML, VersionOne or Jira
