Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:
You will be supporting the National Security & Innovative Solutions (NSIS) sector within CACI, and more specifically the Internet and Cybersecurity Research Department (ICRD). You'll perform basic and applied research and prototype development in various aspects of cyber and general software and network security.    Under direct supervision, perform security analysis of embedded systems, firmware products, and software applications focusing on finding and removing vulnerabilities for unclassified and classified programs.

More About the Role:

  • Research solutions to cyber security and computer networking problems.
  • Design implement and unit test embedded software solutions.
  • Research, design and develop software in various aspects of general IP network security.
  • Identify and evaluate security strengths and weaknesses of Service Provider and Enterprise network components and solutions.
  • Identify, create and propose new research projects.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Basic computer science and/or networking skills which may include knowledge in IP networking, cyber security and software development.
  • Software development skills in current languages such as C, C++, C#, JAVA, Python, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required.
  •  Must be able to OBTAIN A GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE at the level required to perform the duties of the position (US Citizen)

Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and 0-2 years of related experience, or, an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with software security concepts such as intrusion detection, cryptography, authentication, firewalls, secure coding practices.
  • Understanding of network hardware, systems and software applications.
  • Knowledge of Internet routing techniques protocols and tools.
