Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Network Optimization Architect – SD WAN & Cisco Steel Central supporting a DHS customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. We are a seeking an experienced and motivated Network Optimization Architect – SD WAN & Cisco Steel Central to join our team in Burlington,Vermont to provide continuous improvement, redesign, rebuild, build, scale, modernization, WAN/LAN routing, switch, cloud and optimization. This role necessarily deals with highly confidential and sensitive information, and the role is expected to confirm to best handling practices.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Seasoned technical individual contributor will work independently with limited supervision and manage projects/processes, coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals. Influences others regarding system design, solutions and procedures when faced with difficult and complex problems. The Network Optimization Architect – SD WAN & Cisco Steel Central will be actively involved with other technical staff through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Solving difficult and complex problems. Communicates and influences project/team leaders within and outside of the job function at project/program regarding solution design, processes and/or approaches.
More About the Role:
Work with both corporate and customer leadership to research, analyze, and implement enterprise-wide network security solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.
Responsible for end-to-end enterprise infrastructure support for the DMVPN WAN and software defined Infrastructure.
Support implementation of QoS, Metro-Ethernet and or SONET technologies.
Develop and advance the use of cloud service providers.
Responsible for investigating infrastructure/software and tools that can help the increasing or provide adequate performance to meet the agency demands.
Investigate the WAN and develop new solutions, specifically taking advantage of new technologies that embrace software defined networks, to include policy-based routing.
Design and Architect a new Private IP WAN solution.
Design and engineer IPv6 implementation and support strategy. Strategy shall include migration of all devices, sites and applications.
Provide recommendations for new products and technology for supporting all layers of the IT Infrastructure architecture.
Apply Industry-standard network design principals and best practices.
Establish an efficient and effective repeatable methodology for architecture and engineering solutions from concept to delivery of operations.
Develop and implement SIP functionality with secure/encrypted transport.
Support SIP, H.323 standard protocols with expert knowledge.
Responsible for architecting, engineering and maintain cloud direct connects and third-party interconnects where needed.
Responsible for developing technical solutions that may require collaboration with internal expertise and deep analysis of the technical system.

US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment.
Extensive experience with supporting tools such as, or similar to (Cisco Routing and Switching platforms, Riverbed Steelhead family suite, Steel Central Controller, NetProfiler, NetCollecter. Steel Central Mobile Controller, Steel Central ARX, Cisco Identity Services Engine, Solarwinds, AlgoSec, Cisco Cloud Center and VMWare NSX, Cisco Meraki, Infoblox, Stealwatch, Cisco Firepower, Meraki Cloud Portal and devices, Cisco Security Manager, VipTella, Riverbed SD-WAN, IWAN, Policy Based Routing, QoS Quality of Service, Cisco ACI/SDN Platform, Cisco Nexus Platform Amazon, MS Azure and Google.

Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Relevant DHS focused experience
University degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
Cisco Certifications are a plus.
Experience with creating contract deliverables is preferred.
Experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.
Experience with major cloud providers preferred.
