CACI is seeking fully cleared, dynamic technical professionals to join our TETRA program in the Northern, Virginia area. TETRA is an Enterprise IT Program that supports and protects the IC mission. The program is a portfolio of hundreds of projects funded by numerous customers providing Engineering and Sustainment services for a Global Information Technology Enterprise. What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) is seeking a Data Systems Engineer who will provide expertise and a specialized Splunk related focus on enterprise-level machine data analytics that supports the customer’s mission-critical information systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  Your responsibilities include the following:

  • Providing information systems audit collection, normalization, analysis, and expertise

  • Developing data feeds through analysis and systems owner engagement

  • Implementation and maintenance of Linux-based Splunk analytical systems and tools (admin level deployment and knowledge management roles)

  • Collaborating with other administrators and analysts to enhance development of actionable business intelligence, troubleshooting performance issues, and combatting threats

  • Working on an integrated team communicating Splunk related issues

  • Maintaining compliance with security regulations and guidelines

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience with engineering, deploying, maintaining, and utilizing Splunk

  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of Linux systems

  • Demonstrated knowledge of regular expression

  • Experience creating new data feeds for ingestion

  • Experience utilizing DBX and DB Connect

  • Knowledge of Universal and Heavy Forwarder (UF and HF) installation and configuration of indexers

  • Ability to research and clearly articulate, verbally and in writing, recommended solutions

  • Demonstrated aptitude for analytical thinking, problem solving, and working multiple tasks concurrently

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with NiFi conversion software or equivalent, or related extract, transform, and load (ETL) skill set

  • Experience utilizing command-line interfaces

  • Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell) and queries (e.g., Transact-SQL)

  • Demonstrated experience with physical and virtual server architecture and network fundamentals

  • Demonstrated knowledge with incident management, change management, and problem management business processes

  • Customer service experience is preferred

Education and Experience Requirements:

Candidate must have one of the following:

  • 10 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 8 Years of job related experience and Associate’s degree

  • 4-7 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 3 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree

  • 4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate

  • 2 Years of job related experience and Doctorate

Work Hours:  Core Hours 9:00 - 3:00
