CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our team in the National Capital Region (NCR). CACI is providing a variety of IT services to this customer including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services.
What You’ll Get to Do: The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The candidate will be directly responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of a DHS Client Network. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the interconnectivity between the cloud service providers and applications living in these environments. The candidate will provide senior level knowledge and infrastructure, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support that builds, configures, and administers several hundred servers in their area of operation.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
Provide infrastructure engineering designs, builds, and escalated support to services and products.
Build, maintain, or move applications within any of the Commercial Clouds in which USCIS is operating. These systems as they exist now are developed using native AWS services and various CI/CD pipeline architectures.
Develop the general support services that are required to move a system from one commercial cloud to another. These include:
Microsoft Active Directory – Establish domain controllers and login services for Microsoft and Linux based machines in the cloud.
ICAM Authentication, User Management, and Roles Management – Provide engineering services to integrate the Commercial Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) services.
CI/CD Pipeline Building and Migration Task – Build and establish a set of CI/CD pipelines. These pipelines shall support all of the systems built and operated in the cloud.
Perform all cloud engineering and DevSecOps services.
Support engineering efforts to design, build, test, integrate, transition, implement, document, and train when transitioned to IT Operations Management.
Audit firmware versions and configuration settings for the cloud and infrastructure platforms/devices to eliminate vulnerabilities and ensure deployments in accordance with vendor recommendations, industry best-practices, DoD STIGs, and DHS configuration guidance.
Evaluate current and future network designs to ensure that network security is incorporated as an integral consideration in these designs.
Review existing configuration settings to identify potential security vulnerabilities and propose/implement setting or architectural changes to address these vulnerabilities.
Perform securing, hardening and rule creation for new firewalls, switches, routers and other network equipment.
Provide support to the System Teams in setting up their accounts and training them on how the pipeline functions.
Establish the Infoblox infrastructure in the alternate cloud to extend DHS domain naming services into the cloud.
Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization.
Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following tools, technologies and platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SCCM, Chef Server, Chef Automate, Chef Habitat, Chef Client, Chef Knife, and Cookbooks stored in Git.
Management of direct reports.

US Citizenship required.
An active Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment.
Ten (10) or more years of subject matter expertise with monitoring performance and throughput, setting baselines for acceptance performance standards while teams develop new solutions.
Large enterprise and cutting-edge systems and applications.
Ability to design, implement and test new technologies as introduced by industry.
Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Experience with set-up and connectivity to virtual/cloud-based environments.
Experience with major cloud providers preferred (i.e., AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud).
Ability and readiness to work in a rapidly changing, Agile but collaborative environment.
Ability to coordinate and manage device imaging infrastructure, software provisioning and distribution, patching and update services, and overall best practice methodology.
Ability to optimize and standardize the management of devices within the network environment based on factors such as industry best practices and interoperability with other technologies within the Enterprise.
Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.
Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
Previous management experience.
