CACI has an immediate opening for a well-qualified Software QA / Applications Tester to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
More About the Role:
This successful Software / Applications Tester will work with on a team with three developers and an ITPM to create a new personnel tracking system. The current system is written in an obsolete language and a reimagining of the application is required to separate it from the rules engine and the payroll system. In some instances, you will be required to provide scaffolding for the old application to support functionality that is needed. You will be working with full-stack development support in an Agile environment.
What You’ll Get to Do:
For each module of the existing rules engine, you and the team will perform the following tasks:
Decompose business requirements for the re-engineered rules engine, including pertinent reference data. Business area Subject Matter Experts will be made available for reference.
You will identify and define relevant business requirements. A simple review the existing code (in the obsolete coding language) and reconstitute it in modern coding language is not desired.
Identify if data transition is required
Incrementally implement code updates until the newly recoded module can fully absorb responsibilities.
Work to remove, comment out, or otherwise disable code in the existing rules engine module once it is safe to do so.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance (active / in-scope)
Bachelor’s Degree and Ten (10) years of relative experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with automated testing (unit test, integration test, UI test), using tools such as (but not limited to) JUnit, Spring Test, Cypress.io, and Jest
Ability to decompose business requirements
Working knowledge of SQL statements in the context of Java application development
Applications experience the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment
Experience working in an Agile software development environment
