CACI has established and upcoming positions throughout the Southwest Asia theater supporting multiple customers for the Department of Defense. We are looking for experienced, innovative, and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement AFCENT AFFOR/A6 QATAR, AFCENT’s mission objectives.

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Systems Administrator (SA).  This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, AFCENT AFOR/A6, located OCONUS in Qatar.  This position is required to travel OCONUS. 

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
  • Performs a variety of difficult assignments associated with monitoring and controlling computer operating systems. Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Sets up and maintains more than one type of computer system such as Open VMS Systems/DSM environments, UNIX systems (SCO and SUN), and Windows systems. Analyzes system faults and troubleshoots and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems
  • Evaluates and installs developed software during various phases of testing. Reviews and prepares documentation for systems, tests and installation of software. Investigates and recommends methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Initiates preventive maintenance on the operating systems as well as repair to system/environment problems.
  • Administers systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules. Interfaces with vendors for trouble calls. Supports the planning of system/environment requirements for individual projects.  May provide work direction and guidance to others.


More About the Role:

Specifically, the windows System Administrator (SA) will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows 10 Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The SA will be responsible for Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory infrastructure in a mixed Windows environment.   The SA will provide experience in design, maintenance, and operation of small to medium networks. This experience must include administrating corporate or business’ user accounts, managing mail servers, printer servers, and web servers. Experience in systems management, monitoring and sustainment; hardware repair for servers, PCs, peripheral equipment; software installation, maintenance, and sustainment.



You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to maintain
  • BA/BS + 3 years recent specialized or AA/AS +5 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience
  • CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
    • MCSA – Windows 10 or newer
    • MCSA – Windows Server 2012 or newer or SQL Server 2012/2014
    • MCSE - Mobility
  • Specialized experience in:
    • Microsoft Enterprise Server 2008/2012 or later version
    • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
    • Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 (or later version) and other mail applications (local and remote)
    • Microsoft Active Directory 2008/2012 or later version
    • Network server backup
    • DHCP, DNS, WINS, and domain controllers

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • ITIL v3 - Foundation
  • Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
  • Experience working in VmWare ESXi environments
  • Experience with network storage (SAN/NAS)
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions
  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
  • Experience supporting DoD networks / AFCENT
